Leaps of faith...That is what life is all about, one leap of faith after another.
My design journey has been no exception. It has been an unconventional trek, from an MBA and years in corporate life to taking that giant step to follow my dream. Creativity has always been a part of my life, but it has been a crazy ride to where I am today.
I received a certificate in Interior Design from the Design Ecademy, and then went on to study Textile and Surface Design at Rhode Island School of Design.
In 2017, I began High Pine Outerwear, designing and producing women's high performance winter outerwear. Life, family and a global pandemic have necessitated yet another change. So, now here I am, continuing to follow my passion for art, in my design studio, Roxy Doo Design. The name is inspired by my steadfast (sometimes a little too much) four-legged friend, Roxy. She has kept me grounded throughout my exploration of a life of art and creativity.
Another shout out is in order here. None of this would have been possible without the love and total support of my very patient and loving husband, Keith, who has stood by and encouraged me the whole way.
I love bright colors and floral prints, I find my inspiration in nature, the play of colors and light, and the fun and form of geometric shapes and conversational subjects.
In additional to apparel and textile design, I am experienced in Logo creation and Web and marketing graphics design. My skill comes both from my time with High Pine Outerwear and work I have done for other emerging brands.
Please contact me if you would like to see more of my work or would like a custom design or a consultation on your own design project.
